“It’s a theme park whose big theme is – theme parks should have bigger themes”. As the infamous urban artist described to the Guardian, Dismaland is all about asking questions.“What is the point in art now?”, “What is the point in asking, ‘What is the point in art now?’.
Bansky‘s amusement park is in essence an art show. And as, according to him, “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable,” Dismaland rounds up the best works with this subversive sense of humor. And the “quality vandal” is not alone. Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer, Jessica Harrison and other artists have also proven fit for Dismaland. See bellow their work in the show.
