Sadly, the fashion month comes to an end, but the glamorous show in the City of Light took everyone on a journey with Chanel Airways to Africa, courtesy of Valentino. Before saying au revoir, we can take a look at all the new trends and designs that were revealed at Paris Fashion Week.
Karl Lagerfeld sent everyone flying as Chanel transformed the catwalk into a real runway and renovated Paris’ Grand Palais into a very classy airport terminal, with check-in desks and all. The show kicked off with handsome pilots wheeling their cases through the terminal and crossing paths with chic passengers in retro cut trouser suits and tweed.

To fit with the theme, comfortable travel wear included cashmere jogging bottoms with miniature airplane print, departure board printed silks and tweed skirts that resembled airline stewards’ uniforms. Departure board prints with flight details and times were printed on designs worn by the glamourous models. Chanel didn’t miss any details and even the chunky sandals had flight path lights in the soles.
Also worth remebering are Chanel‘s branded bracelets with slogans like “Make Fashion Not War”, “Oser Sans Poser” and “Ladies First”, and Valentino‘s minimal marine symbols jewellery.
Lace details made a statement on the season’s runways. The intricate facrics add a feminine touch to any outfit. On the edges of a flowing dress can make it cool and chic. Chloé displayed a sleeveless boho chic mini dress with white lacy on the collar and bottom. Image: Buro247
Miu Miu’s crowns and bicoloured lips
The perfect pattern for a warm spring is hawaian, of course. Many, like Rochas, Chalayan, Jean Paul-Gaultier, Giambattista Valli and Paul & Joe, featured it.
The quirky touch on PFW was made by Rick Owen’s models carrying models as backpacks. Can fashion get any freakier?
