What was once a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by warehouses is now the center of “cool” in Miami. Kocca, one of the ‘made in Italy’ labels of the moment, chose this urban art ‘meca’ of the moment to shoot their latest campaign.
As Kocca designer Francesco Miranda explains, it was picture perfect to shoot in Wynwood. This Puertoriquean neighbourhood in its origin is now a global meeting point for artists of all disciplines, full of galleries and exhibitions, and drawing thousands during Art Basel.

“With its wide gross white and black lines, it’s the starting point of the collection and this season’s campaign”, explains Miranda.

“In the patterns, for example, flowers cleverly mix with geometric elements to create amazing visual contrasts,” said Miranda. “In other words, the idea is to give the recurrent floral theme a ‘twist’. Forget any type of romantic reminiscence and establish the guidelines of a new aesthetic, where natural motifs share prominence with other forms (linear and circular), and fluid fabrics play with more innovative or even technical materials.”
