Having something original to express is one of the biggest obstacles for artists to overcome. But eventually, they each find their inspiration, their voice, their theme. What’s even more interesting is when they spill all of that in their own working space or home. Today we take a look at French artist Claire Basler‘s house in Château de Beauvoir.
Artists that spend too much time in fine detail get lost in it. And those who only think about the context, the big picture, won’t create or connect to anything. One look at Claire Basler’s home and one can see a perfect example of big picture and fine detail working together in perfect sync.
The French artist was born in Vincennes, France in 1960 and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. She currently resides in this amazing 13th century castle in Central France which is now brimming with her fascinating works inspired by nature.
“The uniqueness of her works lies not only in her fine skill in representing nature, but also in the particular manner in which she chooses to frame the image. Some of her paintings resemble a fragment taken from a larger scale work. These fragmented images of landscapes are very intimate hints of what her imagination captures in the complete scene.” —Roseland Gallery
